## Mission: make planning as easy as possible

Planning is too important to be unnecessarily hard.

Planning is the foundation of successful endeavors — and it needs clarity. But clarity is hard to achieve and even harder to maintain. Information is scattered and changes constantly. The discipline to keep it current in the plan is hard to sustain — and when that slips, plans go stale and no longer provide direction or orientation.

With Betterplan, we want to make it easy to create and maintain clarity — so you can focus on what matters: **shaping projects instead of managing tasks.**

## My story: the tool I needed didn't exist. So I built it.

In over 20 years as a developer, Agile Coach, Scrum Master, and Product Owner, I kept seeing the same thing: **clarity makes teams effective.** When clarity is missing, teams become ineffective, expensive, and unmotivated.

I know the symptoms:

- Iterations without a goal
- Ineffective meetings
- Overloaded Backlogs
- Missing forecasts
- No shared understanding of what really matters

I've experienced firsthand what teams need to work together effectively — and that for a long time, there was no tool that meaningfully supported them.

So I built Betterplan.

## Why planning is more than just the first step

Planning accompanies every successful endeavor — from idea to delivery.

- **Early error detection.** Planning is the earliest and cheapest point at which to discover and correct mistakes — before they become costly.
- **Context for AI.** In the age of AI, planning becomes even more important — because AI needs context to be truly useful.
- **Control and orientation.** Planning fulfills a basic human need: control. But control requires information and clarity about what lies ahead.
- **Coordination in the team.** A plan is what a team agrees on — and what holds its actions together. A prerequisite for any coordinated collaboration.
